Indigo Art Therapy Studio is dedicated to making the healing power of art safe and accessible. Our approach helps individuals of all ages and abilities learn new ways to express themselves and experience healing through the creative process. 

Indigo art therapy studio is currently providing all services virtually to accommodate for varying needs, enhance accessibility, and to promote public health and safety. Individual art therapy, group art therapy, workshops, community outreach, yoga and reiki are available via telehealth platforms. Contact us to learn more about the virtual support we provide. 

Individual Art Therapy

Individuals we work with are often considered creative or highly sensitive. We treat all ages and have experience in helping clients with processing trauma, fostering sensory integration, self-expression, and motor planning, creating healthy boundaries and self-care practices, learning to identify and manage strong feelings, replacing negative thinking patterns, and increasing adaptability. 

Indigo Art Center, Inc. is a nonprofit organization designed to provide safe and accessible studio space, exhibitions, and programs for artists with developmental disabilities. Learn more about Indigo Art Center's mission and how you can help here. 

Group Art Therapy

Our small group sessions are led by master's level board-certified art therapists and are based on common therapeutic goals. A one-time intake evaluation is required to participate in groups at Indigo. Please contact us to learn more about our current active and seasonal art therapy groups at Indigo.

Embodied Creativity

Kelly DeSousa, art therapist, yoga instructor, and reiki practitioner, offers personalized creativity sessions, designed to inspire a peaceful and creative lifestyle. One-on-one virtual holistic wellness sessions incorporate intuitive art making, guided visualization, breath work, gentle movement, and mindfulness practices to cultivate healing for the mind, body, and spirit. 

Creative Catalyst Workshops

Creative Catalyst is a self-care workshop series is for adults and hosted by Indigo art therapists. These workshops offer the opportunity for adults to focus on mindful self-care and connection while learning a new skill in a safe, supportive small group setting. Workshops may be replicated off-site or on-site for private groups upon request. 

Art + Mindfulness

This workshop series package combines self-paced instructional video tutorials with follow-up interactive virtual meet-ups for discussion, support, and processing. Our curriculum is designed and led by our team of board-certified art therapists and focuses on learning to practice mindfulness skills through art making, breathwork, grounding exercises, and creative journaling prompts. Full scholarships available for individuals with autism, courtesy of the HEAL Foundation. 

Community Outreach

Let us bring the creativity to you! Most of our programs can be replicated off-site on a regular basis or as a one-time workshop. Indigo has provided services in schools, residential settings, yoga studios, hospitals, outpatient facilities, and more! Our team of licensed special educators, board-certified art therapists, licensed mental health counselors, and yoga instructors can create specialized programs for all ages and abilities.
