Mosaic 2018 Event

I Still Matter

Hello Friends of Indigo!

We wanted to share some exciting news about an upcoming event! We are thrilled to announce that we will be partnering with local nonprofit, I Still Matter. Our partnership will begin with helping out at their upcoming event, Mosaic 2018. This is a cause that is near and dear to our hearts as art therapists who believe art should be accessible to all.

I Still Matter's mission is to "embrace the power of peer support to foster mental and emotional healing through art and creative expression." After meeting founder, Carmen Joyce, we recognized that there are so many ways we share a vision for making art accessible to all in our community. We want to help and support this mission any way we can, starting NOW!

One (very fun) way we were told Indigo can help is by manning a "smash station" at their upcoming fundraiser, Mosaic 2018. Yes, Indigo art therapists will be breaking stuff at the Museum of Science and History for a good cause! This is only a small piece of all the creative fun that will be happening that evening. Please check out their event page and grab your tickets. We hope to see you there!

The Mosaic 2018 event is a launch party for a campaign for what will be known as TheStudioJAX. This will be an inclusive studio space + gallery space + Jacksonville's first ever peer-based art center. Current peer support groups hosted by I Still Matter meet at Baptist Medical Center downtown. We look forward to partnering with this organization in many more ways. This is just the beginning.
