Save the dates!

Indigo Art Therapy Studio successfully launched the pilot program, Indigo Vocational in 2017, with grant sponsorship from the HEAL Foundation. This program provides career support and individualized art instruction for artists with disabilities. This year, Indigo is partnering with local organizations to create public art exhibition opportunities for artists with disabilities. Currently, our community exhibition partners are Players by the Sea, and the Jax Makerspace Gallery. Hello Friends of Indigo!

We wanted to share some exciting news about an upcoming event! We are thrilled to announce that we will be partnering with local nonprofit, I Still Matter. Our partnership will begin with helping out at their upcoming event, Mosaic 2018. This is a cause that is near and dear to our hearts as art therapists who believe art should be accessible to all.

Benefits of this project:

  • It’s success-oriented with a pleasing design at any skill level

  • It engages the sense of touch

  • Can be adapted for those with sensory aversions

  • Open-ended exploration and discovery can be encouraged once the process is learned.

Materials needed:

  1. Acrylic paint (we chose 3 primaries)

  2. Water
